Application form
We appreciate the barriers frequently faced by researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) when seeking to attend conferences in the global north. CAGR is therefore pleased to invite applications for a bursary to cover travel to and accommodation in Helsinki for the conference, including visa costs. Conference fees will be waived.
To be eligible for this bursary scheme, we ask that you:
- Are employed by or studying at a university or research unit within an LMIC*
- Live in an LMIC*
- Conduct research on any aspect of gambling
*LMIC, as defined by OECD’s ODA list found here

We anticipate being able to fund three bursaries.
The closing date for applications is December 31, 2025. Outcomes will be provided in January.
